Alright, hold on to your hats, because this is the story of how four friends created a card game called "Point Masters"!
It all started when we were bored out of our minds and decided to do some intense Shadowboxing. (You know, that game where you look up, down, left, and right until you’re on the verge of whiplash.) We got so hyped up about it that we formed an official league with a rulebook and everything. We called ourselves the National Pointers Association (NPA for short). We had championships and titles and lived for the thrill of the game!
But then, disaster struck. Jakob got a sinus infection. (The horror!)
The doctor told him he couldn't do any sudden neck movements, so he couldn't play with us anymore. We were bummed out, but then we put our brains together and came up with a genius idea: printed directional arrows! This way, Jakob could still play with us, and we could all have a blast together.
Once we had the arrows down, we started getting wild with it and created all sorts of crazy specialty cards. We made them by drawing them on printer paper and laminating them with tape (yeah, we were hardcore DIYers). We spent months refining our game, coming up with thousands of ideas, and getting into countless arguments. Finally, we came up with a version we were pretty dang proud of.
That's when Shawn stepped up to the plate and reached out to a graphic designer to create some slick-looking cards. We found a manufacturer to produce a physical copy of the game. The first copy was dope, but not perfect, so we kept making tweaks until we ended up with the sweet version that we're ready to share with the world through a killer Kickstarter campaign!
Let’s keep in touch!
